A nominal pipe size alone may not give the full picture. Bring the details of the actual pipe and application to the discussion.

1. Identify the pipe.

   Record the material, nominal size and measured outside diameter. For PE pipe, include the relevant SDR or wall thickness.

2. Describe the service.

   Share the medium, operating pressure, temperature and any project-specific conditions.

3. Explain the connection.

   Identify the mating pipe or flange, applicable standard, restraint requirement and installation space.

4. Provide project information.

   Include quantities, delivery location, required schedule and available drawings or a BOQ.
